Logol launches its revolutionary booking solution that enhances the consumer experience for shoppers while helping retailers reopen and stay open in the post-pandemic shopping environment
Chiasso, 14 May 2020 – Logol, a pioneering Swiss company in the field of artificial intelligence, announces the launch of Grantime, a user-friendly queue-busting application designed for today’s post-lockdown shopping scenario. Allowing consumers to reserve time slots to shop at their favorite stores, the new web-based booking solution puts retailers in the position to respond to the challenge posed by today’s social distancing obligations. Compatible with any smartphone or PC, Grantime is accessible at www.grantime.com as of 13 May for merchants and 17 May for consumers.

As governments strive to reopen the economy while safeguarding public health, many are mandating social distancing measures, such as limiting the number of people inside shops. Retailers will need to adapt. This entails finding effective means to reduce queues and encourage customers to shop outside peak hours, as well as finding new ways to engage with them at a distance.
With this scenario in mind, Logol developed Grantime, an easy to use, web-based solution that allows retailers to eliminate queues and crowds. Users can access Grantime via any smartphone, tablet or PC, check for available time slots at stores that have adopted the application and reserve a time to go shopping. At the designated hour, users show the ticket on their phone (manual verification) or QR code (automated verification) to gain entrance. Tickets can also be printed and reservations can be cancelled with the tap of a button.
A corresponding Grantime application for merchants allows retailers to set the maximum store capacity and view reservations. It can also be used to seamlessly keep track the non-booked, walk-in customers that the shop admits when levels are not saturated. The application also offers them an extra point of contact with customers, to communicate promotions and other news.
Grantime is web-based, does not require downloading and is compatible with all operating systems and all devices. Login is required to book a time slot, access a personalized agenda and display entry tickets. Use of the application is free for consumers. Merchants can trial it for free for one month. The system will initially be made available in Italy, the first country in Europe to experience a major outbreak and among the hardest hit by the pandemic. Expansion to other countries will follow.
